iPad < Crap.
The iPad is an oversized iPod/iPhone. Staring at an LED screen all day, iPad pulls up your optomitrist appointment costs along with the cost of the product itself. Minimum price being $500, you could easily buy a laptop. The perks of a laptop- you can freely download music and stories as opposed to the limits of the Apple Store. Even more simple than a laptop, check your pockets. Odds are you have a cell phone, and you can check email and take pictures easily on a phone. The iPhone was a good creation by Apple, bringing portable internet to the touchscreen. I believe they’re taking it too far with the iPad.
Lots of people enjoy the new perk of a bookstore. But buying a story you’ll read once isn’t worth it. Have people forgot what library cards are? Free checking out of books, anytime you want. Maybe if Apple encouraged excersize, you’d be able to walk to the library to get a book.
Apple has made the world ‘easy’ and ‘simplified’. I guarentee you my mom won’t even know how to turn an iPod on, let alone go play games and paint on it. Most people outside the technology field are clueless as to what an iPod/iPhone does. I’m happy with a simple lifestyle, without paying hundreds for a touch screen paint pad.
The iPad will not create a new class of computer, in my opinion. I believe a few people will buy it and in a few years you’ll buy it for lots less. Congradulations Apple, your product is a big fail.
